The car less Mayor of Gary, Indiana is defending his purchase with government funds of a 2009 Hummer H3 by saying he at least got the $5000 dollar cash back offer, could have purchased a $50,000 Expedition, and after the citizens tax dollars were being used to pay for his gas he has decided to pay his own gas.
He was quoted as saying, “What do you want me to do, walk around here? I’ve got to have a car.”.
I guess buying a hybrid or something just isn’t pimp enough for the mayor of Gary, Indiana.
