Thomas Dekker just got Terminated by Judge. Twice.

TMZ – Thomas Dekker — the guy who played John Connor on the “Terminator” TV show — has been charged with two counts of DUI stemming from his arrest last month.

The L.A. County City Attorney has decided to charge Dekker with 2 misdemeanor counts of DUI after he allegedly boozed up and crashed his car into a 17-year-old who was riding his bike near a Freeway on-ramp.

The victim was treated for minor injuries — Dekker was hauled to Van Nuys jail, where he eventually bailed out.

Dekker is set to be arraigned on Friday.

Gizmodo – Tim Berners-Lee, the guy who usually gets the cred for inventing the world wide web, says there is one thing he’d do differently if he did it all again: He’d dump the double slash that follows http in web addresses.

He apparently laments all the trees and time that’s been killed by people having to type and print out “http://” instead of just “http:” and whatever the address is. I’m pretty sure, though, that typing out all those slashes isn’t quite the biggest waste of time on the internet, so I hope he doesn’t beat himself up too badly at night.

- I like the idea that the nano is trying to be but since i have an iPhone 3G (I really wish I had the 3GS) it’s def not something I’m interested to buy. But one thing for sure for all you out their sans-iPhone/iPod Touch this could be a nice new purchase.

The newest iPod Nano is incontrovertibly a step up from last year’s model, crammed with new features including a video camera. But can the Nano stay the same cool little player while simultaneously invading the Flip-cam market?

This new Nano—the 5th generation—comes in the same 8GB/16GB sizes as the last one (and the one before that, actually), though it costs more. You’ll pay $150 and $180 respectively, up from $130 and $150. But at least the $20-to-$30 bump can be traced to actual additional benefits.

Gawker – TMZ is reporting that King of Pop Michael Jackson has passed away after suffering a heart attack at his Los Angeles home. Paramedics arrived on the scene but were unable to revive him in the ambulance or at the hospital.

The Los Angeles Times confirms the report, saying that Jackson was pronounced dead at this afternoon after arriving at the hospital in a coma.

And by this point if you haven’t heard then you need to be around real people or outside or in a park…just somewhere in society.

Anyway We lost an Angel and a King today.

Bar owner sued by music publishers for letting bands play cover songs…no really.

Would you pay almost $14,000 to hear a local band play a cover version of Tom Petty’s hit “I Won’t Back Down”?

Randy White might, and he’s not happy about it.

White’s problems began Aug. 10, 2007. It was a Friday night, and a crowd came to his club, called Randzz, to drink beer, play pool and maybe listen to the band.

At least one person listened – closely. The band’s playlist, which included hits by Stone Temple Pilots and Bob Sege r, got that person’s attention.

About 10 months later, several music publishers filed a lawsuit against White, accusing him of copyright infringement. They argued that he was allowing bands to play copyrighted songs without their permission or the proper license. In late May, a federal judge ruled in their favor.

White said he plans to appeal. “I just don’t feel I’m responsible for it,” he said. “They should be talking to the bands.”
